Life's journey has many roads and frequent intersections, but only oneway to heaven... Jesus Christ!
"The Road Not Taken" A poem by Robert Frost
Two Roads diverged in a yellow wood and sorry I could not travel both and be one travellor, long I stood and looked down one, as far as I could to where it bent in the undergrowth; then took the other, just as fair and having perhaps the better claim because it was grassy and wanted wear; though as for that the passing there had worn them really about the same and both that morning equally lay in leaves no step had trodden black. Oh, I kept the first for another day! Yet knowing how way leads on to way, I doubted if I should ever come back. I shall be telling this with a sigh somewhere ages and ages hence: Two Roads diverged in a wood and I... ...took the one less traveled by and that has made all the difference.
Over 2000 years ago, Jesus Christ said: "Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it." (Matthew 7:13-14, KJV)
"One Way" A poem by J.O. Williams
When days were long and years were few, the world was young, and love was new. I frolicked in my childish games; I made new friends and learned new names. I went to Church and Sunday School, for in God's hands I was a tool; and in my heart, He put a song and showed me ways, both right and wrong. He left it up to me to choose which way would gain, which way would lose. One way was wide and seemed so gay, but the other seemed such a narrow way. I was young and in my prime; I asked "Why not? I've lots of time". The joy I found was false and thin for it was too engrossed in sin. Then I went home, and went in shame to meet my father's dark disdain; and when I looked into his face, I knew I'd brought, to him, disgrace. It was written there in deepfelt pain, the dishonor I'd brought to his fine name. But, my father needn't shed a tear, for he has heard what you now hear: I began a new life this happy day; I've taken the straight and narrow way. That the wide would lose and the narrow gain, seemed once so dim, but now, so plain. One way was wide and seemed so gay, but the other seemed such a narrow way... "...and that has made all the difference!"
Wear Your Armor Every Day A Poem by Carri Moser
Put on the full armor of God everyday. Seek the Lord and always pray. Wear your helmet of Salvation. Focus on the Lord, He'll give you revelation. Gird your sword upon your side. Mount your horse and boldly ride. Keep your breastplate of righteousness in place. Let the glory of God shine on your face. Use your shield of faith against satan's attacks. Deception and fiery arrows the devil never lacks. Remember the battle is not yours, but God's. Satan will not win, you know the odds. With the belt of truth around your waist, preach the peace of God without haste. Share the Gospel without fear, because Jesus' return is very near. Strap on your armor and stand bold. Share the greatest story ever told.
FOCUS A poem by Carri Moser
We've got to Focus, on the Word of God. We've got to Focus, on His Word. See the world through God's eye. Come on, let's not make Him cry.
We've got to Focus. Focus on our FAITH in God, Focus on His precious LOVE. Focus on His loving PEACE. Focus on His purest JOY. Focus on His endless GRACE. We've got to Focus. Focus until we see His face.
We've got to Focus. Focus on the Word of God. We've got to Focus. Focus UNTIL we see His face.
FOCUS on the four dots for thirty (30) seconds.... then tilt your head back and FOCUS on the ceiling!
FOCUS until you see JESUS!
YOUR CROSS Whatever your cross, Whatever your pain, There will always be sunshine After the rain. Perhaps you may stumble, Perhaps even fall, But God's always there To help you through it all!
